Registration opens for World Out of Home Congress in Toronto

Registration is now open for the 2020 World Out of Home Congress to held at the Sheraton Centre hotel in Toronto from June 3-5.

This is the first World Out of Home Congress under the auspices of the rebranded World Out of Home Organization, formerly FEPE International. It is the first time Congress has returned to North America since 1998 when the FEPE Congress was held in Montreal.

2019’s FEPE International Congress in Dubai attracted a record 455 delegates from over 40 countries. Registration details for Toronto are here.

World Out of Home Organization President Tom Goddard says: “Our Organization is now a truly worldwide body, with new members including national and regional associations joining us.

“Canada and North America as a whole is a major factor in Out of Home, particularly as a centre for innovation. Toronto itself has been chosen as Google’s ‘smart city.’

“The 2020 World Out of Home Congress will major on the theme of innovation and the way it is helping to drive Out of Home to even greater heights in a rapidly changing marketing and media marketplace.

“We look forward to welcoming new and old friends to Toronto in June.”

Ireland: Classic OOH Formats Continue to Endure According to New Research

New research on bus advertising conducted by PML Group and IpsosMRBI points to the enduring power of Classic Out of Home formats to get noticed and to enhance brand saliency.

The Outdoor marketing agency surveyed 300 Dubliners added 16-54 to gauge perception and measure the effectiveness of external bus formats such as T-Sides and Supersides. There are approximately 800 bus T-Sides and slightly more Supersides available for advertising on the Dublin Bus fleet.
