LISBON ANNUAL CONGRESS 2023

The World Out of Home Organization's annual conference is scheduled for June 7th - 9th 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal. Lisbon will be another exciting and feature packed conference with leading industry speakers from across the globe representing all aspects of the OOH ecosystem. The Congress will include a packed social programme including the Gala dinner, city tours and the ever popular Congress Afterparty.

This year's Congress will again see us tackling the major issues of the day: Sustainability, Measurement and Automation, as well as celebrating the creative and marketing impact of one of the strongest foundations of the global media scene.

The first day of presentations will focus on 'Growing the Sector' – working together, maintaining OOH’s competitive advantage - a natural home for great creativity all while responding to the Sustainability Challenge.

Day 2 will move through the science of OOH with the growing importance of Data usage in OOH and driving growth through Audience Measurement whilst making OOH Easier to buy – the growing impact of Programmatic buying.

This tour will present you the highlights of a city with over 21 centuries of history and multiple cultures, trends and lifestyles. Beautiful unexpected views are found at every turn down its colourful, picturesque streets.

We’ll start by crossing the city center to discover some of Lisbon's most charismatic traditional quarters where façades in pastel colors and ceramic tiles coexist side by side with modern architecture.

It is the area of Downtown and Chiado. Next will proceed to the monumental quarter of Belem, from where Vasco da Gama departed to discover the sea way to India in 1498 , will be our last visit.

Photo Stop near the Belem Tower to admire the fortress that defended the harbour of Lisbon, and near the Jerónimos Monastery both finest examples of the Manueline style and UNESCO patrimony.

But there is still some free time to enjoy the famous custard tarts of Belem, a true delicacy! Discover why Lisbon is one of the world's most scenic cities appealing to different tastes and senses.

It is a panoramic tour, with stops in Belem quarter where the guide will provide explanation about this quarter and the period of Portuguese History that it documents.

  • After lunch proceed to Cape Roca the western most point of European Continent for brief Stop
  • Afterwards drive along the coast for panoramic of Guincho, Cascais & Estoril from there return to Lisbon
