OOH Capital Managing Partner and former Posterscope Global President Annie Rickard is to moderate a Diversity Panel - Doing Diversity in Out of Home (DDOOH) - at the World Out of Home Organization’s European Forum. The virtual event will be hosted from London on May 18.

Rickard is also Director and Chair of the Steering Committee for the Women's Equality Party which is fielding candidates in the forthcoming London mayoral and council elections.

Other speakers so far named for the Forum include WPP CEO Mark Read and James Murphy, CEO of New Commercial Arts. NCA is WOO’s ad agency and devised the #OurSecondChance 2020 global Out of Home campaign.

Joining Rickard on the Diversity Panel is Naren Patel, Co-Founder of OOH data firm Geoprove and a former CEO of Primesight. He is also the founder of Media for All, set up to help recruit more BAME talent (black, Asian and minority ethnic) into media and to provide a support and mentoring network to ensure that BAME talent is properly represented and able to flourish.

Rickard says: “it’s vital that Out of Home worldwide moves forward as a diverse industry that offers opportunities and career advancement to people of all genders and ethnicities. I’m delighted that WOO’s European Forum offers Naren and I, and others to be announced soon, the opportunity to move this agenda forward.”

WOO President Tom Goddard says: “The post-pandemic media world is changing rapidly and Out of Home is too. WOO is determined to play its part in achieving better outcomes for people of all backgrounds and Annie and Naren’s panel will be invaluable in helping us to chart this course.”

The WOO event will be free to members, but non-members will also be able to register for a small fee. Non-members booking before April 30th will pay an Early Bird Rate of €100 Euros going up to €150 Euros after that.
