MEP Eva-Britt Svensson published her draft report on "A new strategy for consumer policy" on 19 July. It was then sent to translation. Mrs Svensson resigned from the Parliament on 1 September, for health reasons, and Kyriakos Triantiphyllides (Greens/Nordic Greens, Greece) will take responsibility for the report.
According to the IMCO Secretariat, as the report was sent to translation, they are now "bound" by the previously agreed timetable, also meaning that for the moment Mr Triantiphyllides cannot make changes before the presentation in Committee.The timetable is as follows:
