Maite Rodríguez elected new president of LaFEDE-Aepe

Maite Rodríguez, Clear Channel's General Director of Sales, Marketing and Products, has been appointed President of La FEDE-Aepe, the OOH branch of La FEDE, by the unanimous vote of those attending its plenary meeting held on September 15th.

In this position, which gives her access to the Federation's Board of Directors, she will replace José María Gallastegui, who recently left IEPE (Redext Group), the company he represented, and who had almost completed the last year of his second term.

According to La FEDE’s President, José Carlos Gutiérrez, "José María Gallastegui has delivered an extraordinary performance during almost four years of tireless work for La FEDE-Aepe. During his mandate, among other achievements, the Spanish Outdoor Advertising Conference (Jornadas de Publicidad Exterior) has been re-launched, important legal objectives have been achieved and the number of members throughout Spain has increased to 37".
“Now, he added, "having Maite Rodríguez is the very best thing that could happen to us due to her national and international experience in the field, her knowledge of innovation, research and commercialization, as well as the prestige of the company she represents".

The new president of La FEDE-Aepe begins a two-year term, in her own words, "with the intention of first listening and then defining a strategic program that will help us to continue growing at a time when, on the one hand, we are experiencing the effects of the contraction caused by the pandemic and, on the other, we are witnessing the transformation and digitalization of an environment that is now strongly interwoven with the smart-city phenomenon.
All of this without forgetting those formats that still represent the bulk of our business and that continue to be key, both as a public service and as generators of the notoriety, affinity and coverage KPIs that characterize the medium. As a group we face great challenges. One of them is to take advantage of data, highlighting the undoubted strengths of our medium. Another one is to respond with flexibility to what agencies and advertisers need so that OOH  does not find any technological or other kind of barrier to be present in all media planning".

Experience

Maite Rodríguez has worked with Clear Channel for 6 years in management positions, leading innovation and transformation projects in different countries such as Spain, Mexico and Chile. Previously, she has worked in media agencies such as Carat España or Mexico's Mindshare and in market research companies such as Kantar and Nielsen. She has also chaired other national and international associations.
