WOO supports new pro-bono Grace Blue initiative to support displaced talent and industry hiring

Global executive search company Grace Blue has launched Grace Blue Transition to support industry talent and hiring initiatives amid Covid-19. From Grace Blue global CEO Ian Priest.

We are aware that one of the tragic impacts of Covid-19 is that there are going to be many people in our industry who will find themselves facing redundancy – and we define industry as Agency, Media Owner and Consumer brand.  We wanted to do something to support them – and have therefore been working on a global and collaborative initiative.

Grace Blue Transition
We have built a pro-bono cross industry platform in response to the current crisis to support ‘displaced’ talent.  It is designed to do two principal things:  to provide inspiration and provide access to job opportunities.

For the Inspiration we have had amazing support from 20 industry bodies partnering with us on this initiative including the Marketing Society, The Advertising Association, NABS, 4As, ANA, Headspace, IPA, Guardian, Deloitte and now WOO.  They are all sharing digital resources for free with members on the platform.

For the opportunities  - marketing agencies, media owners and brands will be able to post any potential needs they may have, either freelance or permanent, or search the database of talent and hire all at no cost.

So far we have had interest from a number of brands who have live roles  including Amazon, Snap, Fortnum, Analogue Folk, Channel4 and TikTok.

It’s our way of trying to help people who have been negatively impacted.

It’s therefore important that as many of us spread the word as possible – whether it’s to support someone who has lost their job, or a business wishing to hire.
