Barry Cupples, global CEO of fast-growing specialist Out of Home agency Talon, will launch the afternoon session at the inaugural World Out of Home Organization Asia Forum on October 28.

The Asia Forum is a virtual event commencing at 13.00 Beijing time, 05.00 UK time. The second session runs from 16.00 to 18.00 Beijing time, 08.00 to 010.00 UK time.

Talon’s Cupples will take a client-side view of the Asia OOH in Asia - the lens of success,” examining key developments in reach, technology and creativity in the region. Jim Liu from BNR Communications will also provide a regional overview and update.

Joining Gideon Adey’s OOH Value in Audience Metrics panel will be Jim Liu, Angie Cutter from TAC Media, Rachana Lokhande from the Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA), Jun Sakurai from LiveBoard and Franck Vidal from Ad City.

Diya XN of Phoenix Metropolis Media will unveil some of the myriad wonders of today’s DOOH technology in DOOH 3.0. 

Further emphasising the cutting-edge creative coming out from Asia, Sean Lee, CEO of South Korea's d’strict, will be showcasing some of its current work including 3D, now spreading from Asia to Europe and elsewhere.

The Asia Forum will conclude with the UK’s Tim Bleakley from Ocean Outdoor and Chris Lynham from the giant Westfield shopping malls in London in Last Mile Engagement.  This will focus on the role of OOH in and around major shopping malls and the unique part it plays in driving sales and the consumer experience.

The Asia Forum will be chaired by WOO President Tom Goddard.  Goddard says: “To cover a massive region like Asia in just one day is a stiff undertaking but we believe we’ve assembled a team of experts in all aspects of Out of Home that is well capable of doing so.

“One of the most positive aspects of the OOH industry worldwide is the way we learn from each other and WOO members in Europe and elsewhere will find much of value in the Asia experience.

The Asia Forum is specifically timed for the Asian Region will consist of two sessions:

  • Session 1 - 13.00-15.00 Beijing Time, 05.00-07.00 am UK Time
  • Session 2 - 16.00-19.00 Beijing Time, 08.00-10.00 am UK Time
