Trust will be a key underlying theme of WOO and its communications in 2026 and beyond — and it will play a significant role in WOO President Tom Goddard’s address to the WOO Central European Forum in Warsaw, Poland, from 21–23 October.
#WOOWarsaw26
As global media comes under ever greater scrutiny, Out of Home has a rare opportunity to make its case as the medium consumers trust more than any of its rivals — a truly public medium, immune from the perils of AI and digital manipulation. That argument runs through the Warsaw programme: from the regulatory pressures facing the medium and the sustainability commitments it is making, to the data and measurement that underpin its continued growth.
Keynote speaker Bartosz Hojka, President of the Management Board and CEO of Agora Group, will describe the important trends shaping media across the region and the role Out of Home can play in bringing more value to advertisers.
Global media is under more scrutiny than ever, social media especially, as we move through to 2030. This is a huge opportunity for OOH, a truly public medium, to make its case as one more trusted by consumers than all of its rivals, immune from the perils of AI and digital manipulation.
Central Europe is the focus of widespread geopolitical concerns and our stellar line-up of speakers will counter these with a positive view of the region’s commercial opportunities as well as outlining the threats we all face.
Tom Goddard · WOO President
What the Forum will cover
Other speakers include Germany’s Dr Kai-Marcus Thäsler, who will discuss the “enemy at the gates” — the threat from legislators and others to restrict OOH in line with different national and regional preferences, and the need for the medium to show it is a good and responsible citizen, capable of policing itself, as it continues to grow. He will be joined by Tamás Bauer from IK Outdoor in Hungary, where legislation of OOH is a truly hot topic.
Katrin Robertson, CEO of blowUP media, and Mary O’Sullivan of Ad Net Zero will update the Forum on the development of the Ad Net Zero (D)OOH carbon calculator, as sustainability in the medium remains a key WOO point of focus. Sustainability is an important part of the good citizen narrative, and Katrin Robertson, who heads sustainability for WOO, will lead an expert panel on what remains a vital issue for any medium.
The Forum will also include a number of sessions focusing on data and measurement, highlighting the fundamental importance of these areas in the continued growth of OOH. Among these, Gideon Adey, WOO’s Audience Measurement Lead, will update the Forum on audience measurement with country updates from Germany and Sweden. There will also be a session from Google DV360 and Broadsign on scaling DOOH through global omnichannel demand.
